God’s Love

At Sunday’s Lifenight last week, we all shared our brokenness and were reminded through Jason Gray’s song “Remind Me Who I Am” that we are God’s BELOVED no matter what. I wanted to share this song because it has a similar message. I feel that this song asks a question that many of us have thought of before: “Who will love me for me? Not for what I have done or what I will become.” The answer is God. God will love us for who we are as expressed toward the end of the song: “I will love you for you. Not for what you have done or what you will become… I will give you the love, the love that you never knew.” God knows our deepest sorrow and brokenness, yet He loves us more than we can imagine. Lift up your suffering to Him and be filled completely with His love. His love is consistent and everlasting. As Fr. John Amsberry would say, “It is 3:00 and YOU ARE LOVED!!!”
