Glorifying God

At Mass tonight, Father Lawrence pointed to the second reading as a reminder to us that we should give glory to God in everything we do:

“Brothers and sisters,
Whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do,
do everything for the glory of God.
Avoid giving offense, whether to the Jews or Greeks or
the church of God,
just as I try to please everyone in every way,
not seeking my own benefit but that of the many,
that they may be saved.
Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.”

-1 Corinthians 10:31-11:1

As I was driving home, the following song came on to encourage this reminder to continue, especially with the words “Cause He made you to do every little thing that you do to bring a smile to His face and tell the story of grace with every move that you make, in every little thing you do.” Even if through the simplest thing as Father mentioned like eating or drinking, bring glory to God in every situation! Make your life a constant prayer to God 🙂
